A new process depollution plant in France
The La Condamine Pollution Control Plant was commissioned at the end of 2007. The biological process, known as "R3F": Fluidized Fixed Flora Reactor, has been developed in Norway.
The principle is as follows:
air diffusion in the effluent
fixed flora: development of a biofilm on carrier polyethylene elements suspended in the mixture.
The process has the following advantages:
reduction of ground rights of way
good treatment efficiency with cold water
rapid adaptation to seasonal variations in pollutant load
Implemented in more than 350 treatment plants around the world, this process was used in particular at LILLEHAMMER for the biological extension of its water treatment unit.
