We urge you to discover our traditional mountain village which is steeped in culture and heritage. Imagine your authentic and welcoming holidays through our photos.
A resort in the Alps, at the foot of the Col de la Croix de Fer and the Saint Sorlin glacier, Saint Sorlin d’Arves is a real mountain village with authentic charm.
With summits reaching 3,514m (Aiguille Méridionale), a large glacial area at St Sorlin, and vast mountain pastures, untouched by any infrastructure, the region is an ideal playground for hiking in both summer and winter.
In winter, enjoy skiing in the heart of the Sybelles® ski area, with its village atmosphere, sunshine and optimum snow cover, as well as a wide range of leisure and relaxation activities.
Good snow coverage with east or north facing slopes, many of the routes have cold snow which is excellent for fabulous downhill runs. The positive elevation gains range from 400 to 2,000 metres depending on the area.
There are numerous summits around the St Sorlin glacier, which can be accessed in one hour from the ski lifts and the Etendard refuge: Aiguille de laisse, Dôme and Cimes de la Cochette, Sauvage and Valette and the Etendard, a superb lookout point of 3,464m.
In summer, hiking takes centre stage and to complete the programme of a relaxing or invigorating stay, a whole range of activities and entertainment awaits you.
For your stay, you have a varied choice of rental accommodation including furnished apartments, chalets, hotels, apartment complexes, holiday cottages, holiday centres.... and you can book online.
Saint Sorlin d’Arves embraces its village spirit all year round, it passionately and brilliantly works on its uniqueness and authenticity.
The traditional dresses, the embroidered bonnets preciously preserved in the small museum among other "jewels" of the past are dazzling and moving. The golden sculptures and airy paintings of the very baroque Saint Saturnin church sparkle and dazzle.
The dazzling and colourful summer festivals bring back to life the trades of yesteryear, the customs, all the riches of a preciously preserved heritage.
