Come along on July 19, 2026 to watch the Tour de France stage pass by!
Amateur cyclists will ride down the Col de la Croix de Fer.
The Tour de France will then pass through Saint Sorlin d'Arves on July 25th.
"See you on Sunday 19 July 2026 for L’Étape du Tour de France: 170 km, 5,400 metres of elevation gain and four legendary climbs from the Tour de France.
The route for L’Étape du Tour de France 2026 is undoubtedly the toughest in recent years. It will put your legs and your mental strength to the test on the legendary slopes of the Col de la Croix de Fer, the Col du Télégraphe, the Col du Galibier and the Col de Sarenne."

You can take the Choseaux chairlift to reach the Col de la Croix de Fer.

On foot:
It is possible to hike there in 1 hour from the village of Saint Sorlin d’Arves.
