Winter:
You are in a high mountain off-piste area.
Access by ski touring or snowshoes from Saint Sorlin d'Arves.
Access via the ski lifts with a specific refuge skipass.
Summer:

You’re entering marmot country! Look up to spot large birds of prey (eagles, vultures, bearded vultures, etc.).
Easy access on foot: a 2-hour walk from the Col de la Croix de Fer.
Access by mountain bike. Electric bikes can be recharged at the refuge.

Capacity during staffed periods: 70 beds. 10 dormitories sleeping 4 to 10 people.
Meals available throughout the day during staffed periods. Hearty Savoyard cuisine, mainly using local and/or organic produce. A personalised welcome on arrival from the refuge’s wardens.
Permanent restoration: specialties, pancakes and pies.
Personalized welcome on site by the caretakers.
