Join us for a day of mountain customs and traditions at Les Prés Plans, in Saint Sorlin d'Arves!
As in the past, traditional costume will be the order of the day! Lots of entertainment on site.
Programme:
All day: exhibitors' market, accordion music, wooden games, mini farm, vintage tractors, chapel tour, refreshment bar, face painting, ponies, mini digger.
9:30 a.m. Mass at the Prés Plans chapel
10 a.m. Bread sale with Les Soldanelles
10:30 a.m. Tomme cheese making with the Fromagerie Coopérative de la Vallée des Arves
11:00 a.m. Book signing with Sorlinette
11:30 a.m. Traditional dances with Les Soldanelles
12:00 p.m. Tug-of-war
From 12:15 p.m.: Lunch and snacks - advance booking online or at the Tourist Office
2:00 p.m. Alpine horn with Zian des Alpes
2.30pm Traditional dances by Les Soldanelles
3pm Butter making with a churn, tales and legends with Zian des Alpes
3.30pm Herding dog demonstration
4.15pm Dances by Les Soldanelles, costume removal and presentation
5pm Slipper throwing

Practical information :
How to get there :
• On foot from the Plan du Moulin car park, approximately 45 minutes.
Through the uninhabited, shady hamlet of Les Vachers, with its old school and 1784 cross.
• On foot from the Prés Plans car park, approx. 30 minutes.
• The little train runs from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm for people with mobility difficulties and young children, from the village to Les Prés Plans.

• Green salad, tartiflette, blueberry muffin
• Price: €18/adults and €11/children under 12
