  • New museum dedicated to heritage
    Popular with visitors and locals alike, the Museum of past life, run by the ASPECTS association, will reopen this winter in a completely redesigned setting. Created in 1977 by enthusiastic locals, the museum is now located in the heart of the iconic area around the unmissable Saint-Saturnin Church, in a brand new building adjacent to the former town hall (1682), which has also been restored for the occasion.
    This comprehensive renovation showcases the village's historical heritage (traditional costumes, period utensils and tools, old photographs, etc.) while offering visitors modern, comfortable and welcoming spaces.

     

  • Curved zip line
    Good news for thrill seekers: this winter, Saint Sorlin d'Arves is set to unveil a brand new zip line with twists and turns, the only one of its kind in Maurienne. Located above the village, it promises a fun and spectacular descent, combining speed, tight turns and breathtaking views of the snow-capped peaks. This new activity complements the resort's leisure offering and guarantees unforgettable memories for young and old alike.

New developments for your activities

 

  • A mountain teepee with a guide
    Discover the themed outings offered by "A night in teepee - Passion des Arves" : survival basics, evening meal in a teepee and return by torchlight, unusual night in a teepee (evening meal and night in a teepee).
     
  • For your dog sledding trip
    A new package is now available: a one-hour dog sled ride, offered by Lionel Vilar.
     
  • New wellness services
    Marie Bernard offers you new ways to relax: self-massage workshops, natural cosmetics workshops, nutrition workshops (digestion, immunity, etc.), and aguasofro.
     
  • What's new on the slopes of Les Sybelles®
    The ski area, whose objective is to maintain optimal service quality, is continuing to modernise its infrastructure.
     
  • Book your activities online
    To make planning your trip easier, book and pay for some of your activities directly online on the Tourist Office website.
     
  • Equestrian activities all winter long at Plan du Moulin
    The Les Crins Sauvages equestrian centre will be open all winter on the football pitch located at Plan du Moulin. Equestrian activities will be offered throughout the season in a specially equipped and lit area next to the tennis courts, for the enjoyment of young and old alike.

In the village
 

  • New managers at the top of the village
    Since this summer, Sophie and Yohann have been welcoming guests to their tapas bar and snack bar at the top of the resort: visit Art'vin.
     
  • Relocation of this wine bar and wine shop 
    Since this summer, Du Vin sur la planche has been located opposite the primary school and town hall, near the village centre.
     
  • New facilities
    This summer, the municipality of Saint Sorlin installed charging stations for electric vehicles as well as new wooden chalets serving as bus shelters, for the comfort of its residents and visitors. In addition, a new bus stop will be installed at the junction between the bread oven and the Plan du Moulin road, in the direction of the Plan du Moulin car park.
     
  • New track access 
    Access to the ‘Pierre Aigüe’ ski slope will be redesigned at the Gentianes bend. This new route will provide direct access to the slope without having to use the ski bridge, making the connection easier and more comfortable for skiers.

    To make your end-of-year holidays unforgettable, a wonderful programme is being prepared again this year as part of The Magic of the Christmas Holidays: meetings with Father Christmas, fireworks, torchlight descents... and even a New Year's Eve party with a DJ!

    To make your visit to our website easier throughout the year, new features are now online:
    • An interactive village map with geolocation is available, allowing you to easily locate accommodation, restaurants, shops, services, activities and walks around you, with real-time open/closed status for restaurants, shops and services.
    • Real-time display of open/closed status directly on the listing pages for restaurants, shops and services.
    • Open/closed status also indicated on the detailed information pages.
    • Opening hours displayed in a more readable format on the detailed information pages.
    • Revised ‘summer/winter’ button to make it easier for you to view the two sides of our mountain village.
