Presentation
Discover the history of our planet by exploring the rocks of the Arvan valley on a hike open to all types of enthusiasts.
This activity is open to everyone. It involves learning about rocks and their history by observing the soil and studying how they are used in traditional buildings. During this outing, you will learn to situate the formation of rocks in the history of the Earth. The different rocks will be integrated into the reading of the landscape of the Alpine formation, going back over the evolution of the earth over the last 300 million years (which is specific to the Arvan) by observing the soils of the Arvan valley, which stretch out at our feet and offer themselves to our eyes.
Meet in the morning in front of the La Chal tourist office in St Jean d'Arves.
