Adapted riding & animal-assisted therapy with ponies and horses in Saint Sorlin d’Arves
Les Crins Sauvages riding centre offers adapted riding and animal-assisted therapy sessions in a calm and soothing natural setting, in the heart of the Savoie mountains.
Led by an instructor qualified with a BPJEPS diploma and the Federal Equi-Handi Certificate (mental health specialism), the sessions are designed to adapt to each individual’s needs, abilities and goals, using a gentle, caring approach that respects the person’s own pace.
We welcome children, teenagers and adults, whether beginners or not, including people with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), those with reduced mobility, or anyone wishing to experience a moment of well-being and reconnection through horses.
Sessions may include sleigh rides, ground work, sensory activities, horse care, playful exercises, bonding with the animal and riding, depending on each individual’s abilities. The horse acts as a true partner, fostering self-confidence, emotional calm, communication, independence and motor skills.
Activities take place individually or in small groups, by booking, in a safe and accessible environment. As our facility is still developing, each situation is assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure we provide appropriate and safe support.
This activity is open to everyone. Riding helmets are provided. Long trousers and closed-toe shoes are compulsory.
