Head for the Col de la Croix de Fer along this signposted path at an altitude of over 2,000 metres.
In winter, this famous pass is only accessible on foot or by ski touring, making it much less popular than the rest of the year. Enjoy a magnificent view of the flagship peaks of Les Sybelles: the Glacier de Saint Sorlin, the Aiguilles d'Arves, the Ouillon... There's no doubt about it, this is the ideal spot for a picnic with family or friends!

Detailed route
At the top of the Les Choseaux chairlift, head to the right. Follow the ski slope on the right for a few meters, then take the groomed trail that descends and then climbs back up to the Col de la Croix-de-Fer.
The return trip follows the same route. Take the Les Choseaux chairlift back down.
Opening period
From 13/12/2025 to 10/04/2026 daily.
