Festive day with a demonstration of herd dogs, exhibitors, tasting of regional products, animations, opening of the bread oven... Followed by a guinguette evening with local associations.
2024 information to be confirmed. Join us in Saint Sorlin d'Arves for a day dedicated to mountain folklore and traditions, to discover and relive the trades of yesteryear! This year's event will take place in the hamlet of Prés Plans! 2023 programme (indicative) : - 9am - 6pm: Farmers' and traders' market, music and entertainment: sausage cutting, mini digger, Mario beers, wooden games, etc. - 10am-12pm: "L'accordéon et son Antoine" parade - From 10am: Festive make-up stand - 10am: Tomme de Savoie cheese-making by the Fromagerie des Arves - 10.30am: Mass at the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-la-Vie - 11.30am: Traditional dances by the Soldanelles - From 12pm: Sale of meals by the Etable des Prés Plans (bookings at the Tourist Office) - From 2pm: Storytelling and Alphorn with Zian des Pâles & Accordion with Les Thuaz - 2.30pm: Tug-of-war to the rhythm of the Cor des Alpes with Sorlinette - 3pm: Sheepdog demonstration - 4pm: Traditional dances by the Soldanelles - 4.45pm: Old-fashioned butter-making by the Fromagerie des Arves and tasting of bread baked in the old oven - 5.30pm: Straw bale throwing event - 6pm: Last return journey on the little train Meal menu (booking required): Diots pormoniers from our butcher simmered in red wine (1 per child, 2 per adult), pommes grenailles with garlic and parsley. Salad and cheese (Beaufort and Reblochon). Almond and pear tartlet. Prices : Adults €18 / Children €12 How to get there : - Little train: Runs from 9am to 6pm to the hamlet of Prés Plans - On foot from the Plan du Moulin car park: 50 minutes Programme subject to change/cancellation.
