This museum located in the old presbytery, near the church, evokes the material and life of yesteryear.
On site : traditional costumes, utensils and tools, old photos... but also an exhibition of crystals.
This museum, created by the inhabitants of Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves, has been open since 1977.
Located near the baroque church of Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves, it presents on the ground floor a "kitchen" as it was found in the 1900s, including characters in traditional costume of Saint Sorlin and surrounded by practical utensils for life; spinning wheel, churn ...
You will also be able to see samples of lace, ribbon, headgear, photos of traditional costumes...
Upstairs, you will find tools related to the agropastoral life: tools for hoof-maker, "van", material to make thatched roofs...
On the walls, a lot of photos and information about this life which lasted for several centuries before evolving on tourism with the creation of the resort...
